About us
The guest house "Jonus" is situated in the very center of Jonava which hints plenty legends to get acquainted with. As we look fondly upon the past, our aim is to offer the best personal service - a real thoughtfulness and warmth that stems from the old traditions of Jonas’ family. The brand-new apartments, opened in 2016, can provide lodging for up to 20 people. Every room is bespoke-designed to combine Nordic style as well as natural decorations with comfortable and bright interior containing deep, comfy furniture to collapse into.
Our definition of success is for our visitors to feel that "Jonus" is more akin to a home as all guest rooms are equipped with every facility needed for relaxation. Each apartment comes with digital television, free Wi-Fi, comfortable beds with orthopedic mattresses and fine bed–linen, well–appointed kitchen supplied with quality sets of utensils and dishes - all this will enable you to soak in the cozy atmosphere of the guest house.
The location of apartments is spot-on too - the most popular tourist attractions of Jonava can be reached not only by car or bicycle, but also on foot. The guest house is deceptively quite near the Old Town, innovated Reform Movement Square and its fountains. In the middle of the roundabout of the roads to Jonas Basanavičius and Jeronimas Ralys streets stands the symbol of the city "Tower of light" - a lattice building that is made of stainless steel and reaches a height of 11 meters. We believe that attentive guests will be also interested in other landmarks testifying to the city‘s history and culture, like St. Jacob‘s Church, Jonava Regional Museum, a grave and the only obelisk to a translator and doctor Jeronimas Ralys, a memorial to a compatriot and pioneer of Lithuanian writing Abraomas Kulvietis in Concord Square.
Nothing makes the everyday life easier than well-developed infrastructure and good connections. Squared-away street networks, parks, pods, suburban plantations and neat squares are the key feature of our city. There are various health, cultural, sport facilities for the benefit of tourists and local residents as well as shopping centers and cafes, which are located in the center of the town, near the guest house. Exceptional bicycle routes, which connect all corners of Jonava, adventure park "Lokės pėda", excellent trip to Lokėnėliai hill-fort make Jonava the ideal place for thrill-seekers and adrenaline-junkies. The city also attracts large numbers of winter sports enthusiasts as it offers numerous tracks of varying length and difficulty, on challenging slopes and peaks in the ski resort, which was set up in 2015.
Those who love to mix days of rugged adventure with more leisurely ones enjoying the authentic cuisine will be able to learn all secrets of sour cream butter from a true Samogitian Petras Bieliauskas, whose homestead was built up in Ragožiai.
